Meet Dr. Monterubio
Dr. Monterubio is Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He has over 35 years experience as a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He is native to St. Louis and graduated from Ladue High School in 1972. He then attended Creighton University and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1976. He then entered Creighton University School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Science degree in 1980.
In 1980 and 1981, he completed a residency in hospital dentistry at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas. He then entered the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program at Northwestern Memorial Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. At the completion of his Post Graduate Program in June of 1985, he returned to St. Louis to begin his practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
His area of interest focuses on dental implants, facial aesthetics, dental alveolar and orthognathic surgery. Dr. Monterubio is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
